Eden Lau, Thoughts from a 3rd Grader

Eden had a presentation at school (as part of truth and reconciliation day) where she was tasked with finding 3-5 things to put in a “memory bag” about her family, culture and home. These would be things that she would want to remember about us. Unprompted, she chose to bring a rubix cube and said in her own words:

 

“This represents my family. There are many different colours which represent the many people who come to our home. We have lots of friends who come to our home to play with us and eat with us. We have also had 11 different people live with us. This reminds me that we are welcoming as a family.”
