Just One Room is a ministry of Christine Lee,

Christine came to love God as a child while being raised in a family full of missional love for others. She has a husband, Richard, two adult children (Aaron and Bethany) and a cat named Felix. Christine and Richard felt a strong call to open their home to those in need and welcomed their first guest 4 years ago. Guests have stayed from 4 months to 1.5 years. They have discovered it is a very intimate way to share the love of Jesus as they interact daily, especially as guests cook their own meals in their shared kitchen. There are numerous opportunities to love, listen, and pray. Their children have been blessed beyond measure as they are discovering on their own the beauty of welcoming, the dignity and value of people, and the abundance of God’s provision. Their minds and hearts are expanded by eating different foods and hearing different life experiences.
Because hosting guests has been such a wonderful experience, Christine longs to share this joy with others. She aims to raise up more community hosts who will open a room to those in need. She hopes to connect the needs of immigrants, international students, and refugees to Christians eager to share their homes and their hearts, and to provide the structure to do this safely. Christine’s aim is to normalize community living as a way to share the love of God.
